freelance researcher and former GP
As a GP, Emma became disillusioned at being unable to help patients with complex, multisystem disorders. Diagnoses were often late and care scarce. She recognised that they could help people within Primary Care… if they had a little more knowledge. Since then, she has been on a mission to teach, and discover more through research collaborations, about such fascinating conditions as Mast Cell Activation and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes.
Emma studied in Newcastle, starting in Emergency Medicine before moving to Hampshire and to General Practice.
