Katie Bramall-Stainer

GP and chief executive, Cambridgeshire LMC

Dr Katie Bramall-Stainer is Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire LMC, and the Deputy Chair of the UK Conference of LMCs. She qualified and worked as a salaried GP in London in 2008 before joining a partnership in 2010, and now keeps her hand in clinical practice as a retainer close to home in Hertfordshire.

Katie also represents all branches of the profession across the East of England as a member of the UK BMA Council, and her LMC Conference role gives her a seat on the BMA’s General Practitioners Committee, of which she has been a member since leading trainees in 2007.

She was one of the GPs who called out the culture of sexism in wider medical politics in 2019, and is listed as one of the ten most influential GPs in the UK by Pulse Magazine. Her most important and challenging role remains being mum to her two little boys.
