Dr Tamara Russell

clinical psychologist, neuroscientist and martial artist specializing in mindfulness

Tamara is a clinical psychologist who works within an applied translational neuroscientific approach. Her neurocognitive model of mindfulness helps busy working healthcare professionals
understand the rationale for the applied techniques she offers. Her practical tools and techniques are designed with the brain in mind for maximum impact in the most demanding and extreme
environments. Caring for carers (paid and unpaid) in ways that are accessible and meaningful is her passion. Her mind-body-brain approach is further informed by her love of Shaolin Kung fu and the deep embodied insights gained through her martial arts journey. Tamara is the author of “Mindfulness in Motion” and “#whatismindfulness” – books that outline practical, secular mindfulness approaches suitable for all. @drtamararussell
