GP partner and chief medical officer, Manchester Local Care Organisation
Dr Munshi has been a GP in Manchester for 23 years. He was awarded a BEM in the queens honours in 2017 for services to the community and primary care in Manchester. In 2018 he was further awarded a community honours award at the House of Lords for his work with communities.
Dr Munshi has been named in the Pulse 50 for the past 2 years recognising his new role as Chief medical officer of the Manchester Local Care Organisation which brings together all out of hospital providers in the city including community services, primary care, mental health and social care. MLCO is a pioneering public sector organisation aimed at improving population health through partnership and integration and with residents and is the largest integrated care organisation in Europe.
