Dr. Shanthi Paramothayan is a Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Medicine with extensive expertise and experience in all aspects of respiratory medicine. She has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and completed her undergraduate studies at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital medical school, University of London. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is a member of the British Thoracic Society and an examiner for the PACES examination.
She has been actively involved in teaching and training undergraduates and postgraduates for 20 years. Dr. Paramothayan has a Masters in Medical Education and a Masters in Medical Law (LLM). She was commissioned to write a textbook entitled “Essential Respiratory Medicine” by Wiley-Blackwells which was published in December 2018.
