Having completed her undergraduate training at the University of Nottingham with honors in 2000, Dr Kaur completed her general medical training in the West Midlands and obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2003. Since then she has exclusively worked in Dermatology and obtained full accreditation as a Consultant Dermatologist in 2008. She has worked as an honorary consultant at the world famous ‘St Johns Institute of Dermatology’ in London where she nurtured an interest in hair and scalp disorders, medical dermatology and photodermatology. Since 2009, she has worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and has been committed to improving care for patients – especially those with hair disease. She has authored 30 publications in peer reviewed journals and regularly participates in clinical research She is a founding member of the British Hair and Nail Society, and taught on the inaugural training course. She runs a specialist tertiary referral alopecia service, helped write patient information on hair disease for the British Association of Dermatologists, and has written the specialist registrar national training curriculum for hair disease. She regularly lectures on dermatology topics locally, regionally snd nationally. She works privately at Spire Little Aston Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, and the London Hair and Skin Clinic.
