Dr Lorna Patterson

GPSI dermatology and committee member, Primary Care Dermatology Society


Lorna graduated from the university of Glasgow in 1987. After completing GP training she worked full-time in Dermatology at Inverclyde Royal hospital for 5 years where her special interest in Dermatology was born.

Since then she has combined working as a part-time salaried GP in Ayr with being a specialty doctor in dermatology in a weekly general  Dermatology clinic and a monthly vulval clinic.

She also has a weekly lesion based GPSI clinici n her practice. Lorna is very involved in Dermatology education in primary care and is very keen to engender enthusiasm for the subject in the whole primary care team.
