Biography


Lisa is Deputy Chief Executive of Londonwide Local Medical Committees (LMCs), the clinically led independent voice of GPs in the capital that supports and represents GPs and practices through 27 locally elected committees.

She has over 15 years of GP experience, currently working as a salaried GP in Essex, and has represented sessional doctors in Mid-Essex on her local LMC since 2010.

Lisa is also joint Vice-President of Doctors of the World UK, a charity which empowers excluded people and communities to claim their right to health while fighting for universal access to healthcare. Lisa previously worked as a volunteer GP for Doctors of the World.

Lisa has NHS commissioning experience, having held the posts of Clinical Commissioning Group Chairman and Senior Clinical Lead, and Primary Care Trust GP Director of Commissioning. She has also worked as a national clinical lead contracted by NHS England.

Having undertaken her pre-clinical studies and intercalated degree, ’Disease, Society and Sexuality’ at Cambridge University, she graduated with her primary medical qualification from Oxford University.
