Dr Dina Mansour studied preclinical medicine at Cambridge before moving to London to complete clinical training at University College London and The Royal Free Hospital. She qualified with distinction in clinical practice in 2006. She completed her foundation training and core medical training in London and the South East before returning home to the North East in 2010 for gastroenterology specialty training. She was appointed as a consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 2017. Her main interest is hepatology, including autoimmune liver disease, fatty liver and viral hepatitis, as well as inflammatory bowel disease. She is particularly interested in developing integrated services across primary and secondary care. She is active in research as primary investigator in a number of studies, and is a recipient of NIHR Greenshoots/PI funding. She also has an interest in teaching and is quality lead for the gastroenterology speciality training committee.
