Dr Carey Lunan

Dr Carey Lunan, is a partner in an Edinburgh ‘Deep End’ practice.

She has been a frontline GP for 14 years and actively involved in the RCGP for 11 of these, initially at Faculty level and then as Executive Officer for Patients and Public, then Interface working. She sits on the RCGP Ethics Committee.

During her time as Chair, she plans to make GP wellbeing a high priority and is also keen to ensure that any proposed new models of care are right for patients and based on robust evidence.

She is a passionate advocate for generalism and its critical role within an NHS that provides safe, sustainable, patient-centred, high quality care, in-hours and out-of-hours.
