Biography


Dr Thomas Brown is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust where he leads the Portsmouth Severe Asthma Centre and the Respiratory Research Department. His research interests include novel diagnostics and phenotyping in asthma and he is the joint Clinical Champion for NHS England’s Accelerated Access Collaborative for FeNO. His PhD in asthma described the Wessex Severe Asthma Cohort, he also leads the CRN Wessex Research Fellow Programme and is joint deputy Training Programme Director for Respiratory Medicine in Wessex. He has been involved in award winning innovative research projects such as Mission Asthma and Mission ABC providing novel vertically integrated clinics in the community reviewing patients with asthma, COPD and breathlessness.
