Where is it?
Please visit the page for your chosen location which will provide information on how to get to the event.
How much does it cost?
Pulse LIVE is free to attend and includes lunch. Depending on the location, you may need to pay to book onto some seminars and may need to purchase additional refreshments and hot drinks. We are not able to subsidise travel or accommodation.
Do I need to pre-register for seminars?
Most sessions are managed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will do our utmost to accommodate as many people as possible but some have limited capacity. Please take a look at the agenda and select your preferences but we can not guarantee you will be able to attend every one. Hopefully with at least 5 concurrent sessions to choose from, you will be able to find an alternative! Some sessions, such as Simulation Training are designed to be small group, interactive sessions and there is a cost to reserve a place.
I am retired, can I attend?
If you are still conducting some clinical work, i.e. as a GP locum, and you have maintained your GMC registration, you are welcome to attend. If you have fully retired from the profession, we are afraid that ABPI guidelines restrict us from accepting you.
I am still in training, can I attend?
If you are a GP trainee, with a valid GMC number, we would be delighted to see you there. If you are a medical student or are training in secondary care, we are afraid that we can not accept your registration.
Will I get a certificate of attendance?
Absolutely. After you attend, you will be emailed a survey. Once completed, you will be directed to a web page where you are able to download your certificate and presentations. You will need to add your name to your certificate.
Will I get access to the presentations?
You will. After you attend, you will be emailed with a survey. Once completed, you will be directed to a web page where you are able to download you certificate and presentations. We are only able to share presentations where speakers provide permission so please do take notes just in case.
How many CPD hours is it worth?
The certificate of attendance includes the recommended number of CPD hours, which vary from event to event. Depending on how many sessions you attended, and whether you found them worthwhile, you will then need to edit this to claim the number of CPD hours you personally earnt, as indicated in your revalidation guidelines.
My ticket hasn’t arrived in the post, can I still attend?
Yes! The team onsite are equipped to deal with any lost/forgotten/undelivered tickets and can print you a new one onsite. Just go to the registration desk as normal and we will sort you out in no time.
Will there be disabled access/facilities?
If you have any special requirements such as disabled access or a hearing loop, please let us know at least two weeks in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
I have a dietary requirement. Will I still be fed?
We will do our best to cater for allergies and intolerances but are not able to cater for fussy eaters! At each event, there will be a selection of sandwiches to choose from, including a vegetarian option. Unfortunately we can not provide Kosher meals.
You will be sent a survey a few weeks in advance where you can indicate any dietary requirements.
Can I speak at the event?
We are always on the lookout for new speakers and ideas for the agenda. If you are interested in speaking, or would like to propose a topic for inclusion, please contact the programme manager, email@example.com
Can I exhibit at the event?
If you are interested in exhibiting or sponsoring, please contact the commercial director for Pulse events, firstname.lastname@example.org
Can I bring my child/partner/family member?
We are afraid that, due to insurance and ABPI guidelines, we are unable to allow under-18s or unqualified members of the public into the event. This includes babies.
I already have a surgery booked. Can I attend for half a day?
If you are only able to attend for part of the day, that is fine. You will need to update your certificate so that you only claim CPD for the amount of time that you attended.
I am based overseas. Can I attend?
Only GPs and GP Trainees registered with the GMC and practising in the UK are eligible to attend this event.
